Day 3 Windsor to Cairo

Just sitting here in Heathrow waiting for our flight to Cairo. You could probably live in this place (if you could afford it).

At the seafood bar, which does look nice, you can get caviar and a glass of champagne only 455 pounds! But I'm getting ahead of myself.

We agreed last night, first one up wakes the other two any time after 7:00 a.m. So we were all up at 8:00 checked out and out the door at 8:30. Breakfast?

NOTHING is open this early in Staines so we make our way to Windsor and get breakfast at the Costa (British Starbucks) there after asking the one lonely dog walker on the street at that time of the morning. At this point its 9:30 or so..... where is everybody?

Then on to Windsor castle which is very much what a castle ought to be. Once the tour is finshed the streets are teaming with people. Its a gorgeous day and everyone is out enjoying it but holy cow, there are a lot of people in Britain... just not used to the crowds. Feels like the ex. or something.

Walked around Windsor and Eton then returned the car, checked in and here we are now.

Will save this now and wait to upload when I get wireless access. TTFN Landed Cairo - transfer to Hotel 1:30 a.m. sleep 2 hours transfer back to airport at 4:00 a.m. flight to Luxor. Whoah!

Dale

Yes its me Dale......and this is where I take the time each night when I travel, to reflect.  Which is a modern way of saying I'm just trying to remember what I did from one day to the next.  Things can get muddled on holiday and a doumented blog can save on future fights...... especially when I can change the date in the database at will.
