Yes its me Dale......and this is where I take the time each night when I travel, to reflect. Which is a modern way of saying I'm just trying to remember what I did from one day to the next. Things can get muddled on holiday and a doumented blog can save on future fights...... especially when I can change the date in the database at will.
We all got together, two cars of us, to drive out to Gugranwala to where the family originated.
We managed to sleep in today and so Ahsan picked us up at 11:0 and we drove through some pretty crazy traffic to the older part of Lahore to see the fort.
We woke up early, like 5:30 in the morning, from the call to prayer, and with my mind racing I couldn't manage to get back to sleep.
Jim and I are waiting in the lobby of the gymkhana for Madeleine to get ready and then Ahsan will take us over to his house.
Ok so not only is this a post but I'm doing this entirely with an iPad.
We are pretty much ready to head out. Just putting the final things in the luggage and what not.
This is a great time should have done this long ago.

So in the process of going through all the tickets and stuff we discovered we had a parking pass for the parade but not the game..... we called the Rose Bowl hotline (yes really) and they said we had to come to Pasadena and purchase it there, fair enough out we went.
We went for a run this morning.... doesn't rain in California? It pours! Nice temperature and just spitting heading out but definitely a solid rain when we packed it in and picked up breakfast at Peet's (a California chain much like Starbucks with very nice pastries).
What a joy Pearson was...... we arrived plenty early, Jim having the idea we could get through security and hang out in the lounge. Us customs had other ideas that being staggering access based upon departure time.
All the Egyptian women Jim works with say not to spend any time in Cairo but it is the location of the pyramids so we pretty much have to. We are met at our hotel, the Hotel Shepheard BTW by Sharf our guide for the day. It takes about an hour 40 mins. to get to the pyramids from downtown Cairo to the Giza plateau... you never really leave the city..... built right up the the pyramids.
